I didn’t leave school planning a career in the sales industry. I had no idea what I wanted to do.

I soon realised I was different. While everyone else was trying to sell, being pushy, trying to close and “overcoming objections” — customers were buying from me. I realised that it’s because I have always naturally placed my focus on making sure the customer was happy. It is all down to how I treat my customers, the value I place on them and the culture I create. Having an in depth understanding of my customers and competitors gave me an unfair advantage that I was able to exploit.
