The students certainly did us proud during these difficult times. I was so glad to see so many of them embrace this opportunity to extend and challenge themselves. I would personally like to take this opportunity to ‘thank you’ for your time, guidance and support. You made the entire experience a breeze! You were always so prompt in replying to my emails and questions (some silly ones too). It’s thanks to you that I was able to get this competition up and running at such short notice. I hope this event will run again next year as we would love to participate again. Thanks so much. It has really been a pleasure working with you.

This year, I was fortunate enough to be part of the Aitken Accelium Olympics team. This gave me a great opportunity to extend my problem-solving and critical thinking skills by solving different games on a variety of levels which was educational and fun at the same time. I practised thinking outside the box and challenged myself to consider all the possibilities and routes so that the opponent couldn’t win. At the start of the Accelium Olympics, these skills weren’t as efficient and I often failed to complete the levels in the most efficient way. However, after lots of practise on the different levels and games which were challenging at the start, I could see the improvement which I had made as those difficult challenges had become easier. This has benefitted me in being able to solve more complex problems and to think in a more efficient way after this event.
