What is a WMS and what does it do?

What is a WMS and what does it do?

This short video describes how the Logistics Cloud Co WMS helps you to improve the productivity and accuracy of every physical move of stock in your warehouse.

A Warehouse Management System (WMS) is different to your other business systems for managing accounting and inventory. These systems are primarily designed to help you manage money, a WMS helps you manage physical stock items. A WMS tracks where every stock item is in your warehouse, where it is going, who is moving it and how long it takes to get there.

At the heart of our warehouse management system is a custom mobile workflow that runs on a browser on a mobile computer (or tablet or PC) with a barcode scanner. The easy to learn step by step workflow guides your warehouse staff to do complex warehouse functions such as multi-order picking, with ease. This makes every movement of stock efficienct and accurate and tracked in real time.
